Duty Manager - Lemur Landings

Job Title: Duty Manager – Lemur Landings Children’s Entertainment Centre 
Location: Lemur Landings, Poole, Dorset, BH12 4NY 
Job Type: Full and Part Time positions available. Temporary and permanent position available. Position will include a working pattern to include Dorset School Holidays and Weekends.

The Role: 
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Duty Manager to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts. You will act as the senior person on-site, ensuring the centre runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while delivering an outstanding experience for every customer. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Take responsibility for the centre during your shift, including opening and closing procedures. 

• Initiate and lead the team during emergency action procedures when required. 

• Supervise and support team members to maintain high service standards 

• Ensure all health & safety and safeguarding procedures are followed 

• Handle customer queries, feedback, and escalations professionally 

• Oversee party bookings and ensure events run smoothly 

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation 

• Monitor staffing levels and delegate tasks effectively 

• Report operational issues and performance updates to senior management 

• Support training and development of team members 

Requirements: 

• Previous experience in a supervisory or duty manager role (hospitality, leisure, or retail preferred) 

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills 

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities 

• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment 

• Flexible availability, including weekends and school holidays 

• Understanding of health & safety procedures 

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) 

• Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

• Confident in using digital tools to maintain organised operational records, and communication with customers and team members

 Desirable: 

• Experience working in a children’s environment or entertainment venue 

• First Aid certification 

• Experience managing shifts or leading teams 

• Leisure Management qualification
