Job Title: Duty Manager – Lemur Landings Children’s Entertainment Centre
Location: Lemur Landings, Poole, Dorset, BH12 4NY
Job Type: Full and Part Time positions available. Temporary and permanent position available. Position will include a working pattern to include Dorset School Holidays and Weekends.

The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Duty Manager to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts. You will act as the senior person on-site, ensuring the centre runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while delivering an outstanding experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the centre during your shift, including opening and closing procedures.

Initiate and lead the team during emergency action procedures when required.

Supervise and support team members to maintain high service standards

Ensure all health & safety and safeguarding procedures are followed

Handle customer queries, feedback, and escalations professionally

Oversee party bookings and ensure events run smoothly

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Monitor staffing levels and delegate tasks effectively

Report operational issues and performance updates to senior management

Support training and development of team members
Requirements:
-
Previous experience in a supervisory or duty manager role (hospitality, leisure, or retail preferred)

Strong leadership and decision-making skills
-
Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment

Flexible availability, including weekends and school holidays
-
Understanding of health & safety procedures
-
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Confident in using digital tools to maintain organised operational records, and communication with customers and team members
Desirable:
-
Experience working in a children’s environment or entertainment venue
-
First Aid certification
-
Experience managing shifts or leading teams
-
Leisure Management qualification
